Housing Stability: Moving the Needle

When families enter the 100 Families Initiative, many are in housing crisis or at risk. Today, crisis has been cut by more than half, and nearly half of families are now stable. This is what coordinated support and perseverance can achieve.

When families enter the 100 Families Initiative, many are experiencing significant housing instability.

At intake, over one-third of families were at risk of losing housing, and nearly 28% were already in crisis. Only a small percentage were considered stable.

Today, that picture has changed.

The number of families in crisis has been reduced by more than half. Nearly half of participating families are now stable, and some are thriving. The percentage of families at risk has significantly decreased.

This progress reflects intentional, coordinated support — including cross-agency collaboration, consistent follow-up, accountability, and the determination of families who remain engaged in the process.

Behind every percentage is a family that did not give up.

Housing stability is not just about securing a lease — it is about creating a foundation where children can succeed, employment can stabilize, and long-term growth becomes possible.

This is what movement from crisis to stability looks like.
